Long-range propagation of sound pulses in the deep ocean is considered. A new method for estimation pulse angular spectrum presented. The based on Husimi transform a wave field and can be realized with short vertical array nondirectional hydrophones. As result, one obtains diagram arrival pattern time–angle plane. applied to model underwater channel Sea Japan. Special attention paid scattering cold synoptic eddy along waveguide. It shown that leads splitting individual ray’s arrivals into clusters close angles times. random sound-speed perturbation induced by internal waves blurs these fuzzy background simultaneously broaden pulses. Nevertheless, it found latter effect relatively weak arrays. In particular, increasing length from 10 30 m results separation opposite angles.
